About Baker Home Exteriors Baker Home Exteriors is the residential division of Baker Roofing Company, protecting and improving homes since 1915. We operate across four markets (Raleigh, Charleston, Asheville, and Greensboro), we are family-led and 100% employee-owned, and we have put on more than 25,000 roofs in the last decade with a 4.9-star average across thousands of reviews. Every person here has a real stake in doing right by the homeowner, and it shows in the work. We are a customer-centric organization, and our motto says it best: Always Good Work. Here, what you put in is what you get back. The consultants who show up with a positive attitude, learn our process, and take care of the customer are the ones who build real income and a real career with us. We are looking for a driven, people-first Exterior Consultant to guide homeowners through one of the biggest decisions they will make for their home. The Role This is a face-to-face, field sales role. You will work in residential neighborhoods, meet homeowners where they live, create your own opportunities alongside company-provided leads, and follow a proven sales process from the first conversation to a signed agreement. You are selling roofing products and services, but the job is really about people: listening closely, learning what matters most to each homeowner, and giving them clear options so they can make a confident decision. The best consultants here are active listeners first and closers second. You will assess each homeowner's needs, provide honest recommendations, and support the customer through every step of their journey with Baker, from the first visit through the completed project. You may also work with multi-family property managers on townhome, condo, and apartment communities, so professionalism and business acumen matter as much as warmth. A positive attitude is a must, and strong communication and consistent follow-up are what turn a good month into a great one. New to roofing? No problem. We will teach you the products, the process, and the Baker way of doing the work. We hire for attitude, drive, and the ability to connect with people, and we train the rest.
